2. How do I receive email updates about the Audiobooks with virtual voice beta, including future expansions?

To receive communications about the Audiobooks with virtual voice beta, including KDP beta invites, make sure you're subscribed to KDP's news and product announcement emails. To do so, click here to access the email preferences update page, then click "Continue" to confirm your subscription.

3. How do I know if my eBook is eligible?

If your eBook is eligible, the option Add Audible audiobook with virtual voice will appear on your KDP Bookshelf. If you update an ineligible eBook so that it meets the eligibility criteria, the link to create an audiobook should appear on your Bookshelf after the updated eBook is Live and passes the eligibility check.

4. Can I choose a voice for each chapter?

Yes, you can choose different voices for each chapter in the Virtual Voice Studio (VVS). The book voice you choose on the audiobook setup page or in the VVS will be used for any chapter where you don't apply a chapter voice. Your book voice updates won't change any of your chapter voice selections.

5. How do I listen to or edit the audio?

You can listen to virtual voice samples in Help or the audiobook setup page. Listen to your book and make edits in the Virtual Voice Studio (VVS).

6. Why is my table of contents not eligible?

We automatically create a Kindle Interactive (or NCX) Table of Contents (TOC) from your manuscript. The NCX is used to make the chapters of your audiobook easy to navigate for listeners. If you have a TOC in your manuscript, but are seeing this eligibility criteria, try using Kindle Create, or refer to our Navigation Guidelines for guidance.

7. What marketplaces can I sell audiobooks with virtual voice?

While we offer virtual voice options in different languages, the KDP audiobooks with virtual voice beta is only available for books to be distributed in the US marketplace at this time.
