Contact UsReschedule a release
Rescheduling an eBook pre-order's release date is applicable for eBooks in a 'Pre-order Live' status. If you want to reschedule the release date for your submitted pre-order, you must re-submit and republish the eBook.
Note: You cannot move a release date to be published on the same day because it takes up to 72 hours to prepare your eBook for delivery to customers.
Tip: If you want to release your eBook without waiting for the scheduled date, you've the option to select 'I'm ready to release my book now' in the "Pre-order" section. Note that this option is only available if you're still within the pre-order submission deadline, your eBook is in 'Pre-Order Draft' status, and your manuscript is ready for publishing.
To reschedule a release date:
- Go to your Bookshelf.
- Select the ellipsis button ("…") under KINDLE EBOOK ACTIONS next to the eBook you want to update.
- Choose Edit eBook details.
- In the Pre-order section, click Edit release date.
- Enter the new date and click OK.
- Go to Kindle eBook Rights & Pricing.
- Select Save and continue.
- Scroll to bottom of page and Submit for pre-order.
Customers who pre-ordered the eBook will receive the content on the earlier release date.
