KDP Select is a free 90-day program for Kindle eBooks and audiobooks open to all authors regardless of where you live. When you enroll your eBook or audiobook in KDP Select, it's automatically included in Kindle+. You can reach more readers by making your books available in Kindle+, creating new opportunities to earn royalties. Your Kindle eBooks are also eligible for Free Book Promotions and Kindle Countdown Deals (KCD). Audiobooks are not eligible for Free Book Promotions, KCDs, or literary contests.
Note: Kindle Countdown Deals can only be run on the Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk marketplaces. It is not available on Amazon.co.jp.To learn more about the program, visit our resources below:

Can I choose not to enroll my audiobook in KDP Select?
Yes. You can choose if you want to enroll your books in KDP Select at any time.
If you have an audiobook with virtual voice and your eBook is enrolled in KDP Select, the associated audiobook will also be enrolled in KDP Select and automatically included in Kindle+. If you don't want your audiobook with virtual voice in Kindle+, you can unpublish the audiobook or unenroll your Kindle eBook from KDP Select.
You can unenroll ACX audiobooks from KDP Select separately from your eBook. ACX audiobook enrollment in KDP Select will not add any additional KDP exclusivity requirements to your title.
How can I cancel my KDP Select enrollment?
After you enroll in KDP Select, you have three days from the start of your enrollment period to cancel KDP Select enrollment. If more than three days have passed, contact us. To manage your KDP Select settings, go to manage your KDP Select enrollment.
Will I be paid through the KDP Select Global Fund?
Yes. Reading activity continues to be paid through the fund as it is today. To support the new and growing audiobook catalog in Kindle+, we're investing additional funds in the KDP Select Global Fund. These are new funds for the expanded audio selection.
