You can enroll your ACX audiobooks in KDP Select from your KDP Bookshelf to reach more readers by making your audiobooks available in Kindle+.

By adding audiobooks to the Kindle+ subscription, you can share your book with new subscribers who may prefer audio over reading, generating new consumption and royalties you wouldn't have earned otherwise. To be eligible to enroll your ACX audiobooks into KDP Select, your title must meet the required eligibility criteria. Note: Audiobooks in Kindle+ are available for distribution in the US marketplace only at this time.

Checking eligibility

We will complete an eligibility check against the criteria below to determine if your ACX audiobook is eligible to enroll in KDP Select. If eligible and your KDP account has the same account credentials as your ACX account, the option to Enroll audiobook in KDP Select will appear in your KDP Bookshelf.

From the KDP Bookshelf, you can also select Check eligibility for KDP Select to check if your audiobook is eligible to enroll in KDP Select and make it available in Kindle+.

Note: If your KDP and ACX accounts do not link automatically, you're required to authenticate and sign in to your ACX account to complete account verification for an added layer of security. This will link your ACX audiobook to the KDP Bookshelf if you use different account credentials. To troubleshoot common issues, go to troubleshooting ACX account authentication.

Eligibility criteria

Review requirements below for your ACX audiobook to be eligible to enroll in KDP Select and potential troubleshooting steps. If your ACX audiobook is ineligible, check the reason(s) listed by selecting Why isn't my eBook eligible? on your KDP Bookshelf.

Enrolling in KDP Select

You can enroll your eligible ACX audiobooks in KDP Select directly from your KDP Bookshelf, or from the Marketing page. You might be prompted to sign in to your ACX account before you can enroll in KDP Select. You can enroll your eBook and ACX audiobook together, or your eBook only. You can't enroll your ACX audiobook without your corresponding eBook.

From the KDP Bookshelf:

1. Go to your KDP Bookshelf.
2. Find your eligible ACX audiobook with status the KDP Select: eBook enrolled.
3. Under Audible audiobook (ACX), select Enroll audiobook in KDP Select.
4. From the popup, review the KDP Select enrollment details.
5. Select the checkbox to confirm you own the audiobook distribution rights and have access to the ACX account for the selected audiobook.
6. Click Enroll audiobook to confirm KDP Select enrollment.
7. Your ACX audiobook is now enrolled in KDP Select.

From the Marketing page:

1. Go to the Marketing page.
2. Select Enroll audiobook.
3. Your ACX audiobook is now enrolled in KDP Select.

Note: It can take up to 24 hours for your audiobook to display the Kindle+ badge and be available for borrowing in the Amazon store.

From the Marketing page, you can see your KDP Select enrollment status, enrolled formats, auto-renewal date, manage or cancel your KDP Select enrollment. For more information, visit KDP Select enrollment.

ACX account linking and troubleshooting

Your ACX account will link automatically to your KDP account when both accounts have the same customer ID.

If the account is not automatically linked, you will see Check eligibility for KDP Select in the Bookshelf. Follow steps below to link your ACX account.

1. Click Check eligibility for KDP Select under Audible audiobook (ACX).
2. Check the boxes to confirm you own the audiobook distribution rights and have access to the ACX account for the selected audiobook.
3. Select Sign in to ACX.
4. Follow the prompts to sign in to your ACX account.

Below are common errors and how to fix when prompted to sign in to your ACX account from the KDP Bookshelf. Verification can fail for various reasons.

• For an added layer of security, ACX accounts with different log in credentials from the KDP accounts have two-step verification enabled to ensure that the ACX audiobook you have access to is associated with a verified ACX account. This feature can't be disabled.
• During the authentication process, two-step verification sends you a unique security code. This code is called a one-time password (OTP), and it's different than your account password.
• If you prefer to use a password to sign in, select Use password instead to enter your ACX account password.
• If you have multiple ACX accounts, only the rights holder account can be linked to the KDP account with the corresponding eBook.
• If you have co-authored ACX audiobooks, only the rights holder account can be linked to the KDP account with the corresponding eBook.
