Troubleshooting Indian-Language Files

For best results, we recommend formatting your document with consistent styles (a type of setting in Microsoft Word).

Currently we support only Microsoft Word .doc or .docx files. Making some of the changes below may require slightly different steps, depending on which version of Word you use. If it's not clear how to finish one of these tasks in Word, check their Help website.

Our system is unable to read text in 8-bit proprietary ASCII fonts
The regional language fonts used in your document are likely not Unicode compliant. Since they may be 8-bit proprietary ASCII fonts, please note that Unicode is standardized for regional languages whereas ASCII is not. Unicode is the commonly followed encoding standard to write/read text in all languages. Our system is Unicode compliant and it is unable to read text in 8-bit proprietary ASCII Fonts of your language.

To fix this, convert your document into Unicode and try to re-upload. You can search for online/offline tools that are available in your language to convert text in ASCII Font(s) to Unicode font of your language. Additionally, you can find tools available to type directly in Unicode.

If you try these steps and your next conversion still fails, please contact us and let us know in the email which steps you attempted, and we'll investigate whether there's another way to convert the file.
